The Grace of Patience

Judges 6:39-40

"Then Gideon said to God, "Do not be angry with me. Let me make just one more request. Allow me one more test with the fleece. This time make the fleece dry and the ground covered with dew."That night God did so. Only the fleece was dry; all the ground was covered with dew."

There are a couple of times in the bible where God had been very patient and other times He seemed impatient and even harsh to people who receive messages about their calling or events that are about to happen in their lives. God was patient with Gideon, Abraham (on Sodom and Gomorrah's destruction), Mary, Moses (burning bush), Jeremiah, Thomas, and others while God seems to have expected higher of
Barak, Zachariah (John's father), Abraham & Sarah (about Isaac), and Moses (striking of the rock).
God of course deals with varying degrees of trust accordingly, taking into account our mindset and circumstances. I think that today God shows even more evidently His patience with us, as is Jesus with His disciples, especially since we now have the Complete Revelation of the Scriptures even moreso the expectation is much higher and yet gace abounds in our own moments of doubt.

Mark 9:24 & 28-29
Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"...He replied, "This kind can come out only by prayer." After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, "Why couldn't we drive it out?" He replied, "This kind can come out only by prayer."
