The Creation Groans

Psalms 104:19–24
“He made the moon marks off the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down. You bring darkness, it becomes night, and all the beasts of the forest prowl. The lions roar for their prey and seek their food from God. The sun rises, and they steal away; they return and lie down in their dens. Then people go out to His work, to their labor until evening. How many are Your works, LORD! In wisdom You made them all; the earth is full of Your creatures.”

We marvel at God's work and we praise Him for His wisdom that everything works for His glory. We do understand that after the fall, what He called "good" has now been marred by sin and decay. A song says, “stars lookin at our planet watching entropy and pain and maybe start to wonder how the chaos in our lives could pass as sane”. But God promises in the New Covenant of Jesus Christ, elucidated by the apostles for us in saying God allowed evil to come into the world for His glorious purposes of liberation, "for the creation was subjected to futility, not by its own will, but because of the One who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies (Rom 8:20-23)." God had the liberation of the universe in mind even prior to creation, let us praise His Holy wisdom as we eagerly await our hope in His only begotten eternal Son Jesus Christ, the lamb that was slain from before the foundations of the earth were laid (Rev 13:8).
