No Condemnation

Psalms 106:43-48
"Many times He delivered them, but they were bent on rebellion and they wasted away in their sin. Yet He took note of their distress when He heard their cry; for their sake hHe remembered His covenant and out of His great love He relented. He caused all who held them captive to show them mercy. Save us, LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name and glory in Your praise. Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, "Amen!" Praise the LORD."

God understands our mortal frame, He remembers we are dust (Psa 103:14). No matter how much we fail Him and the many times we desired to achieve but fell short of His glory, He is compassionate because of the saving work of our LORD Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life has set you free from the law of sin and death, For what the Law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful humanity, as an offering for sin. He thus condemned sin in the flesh, so that the righteous standard of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. (Rom 8:1-4)." This is not to say we are to always just give in to sin, but importantly that we are given power by Christ to live for Him, to strive and to even struggle in gratitude; we do not have to be perfect but that we are no longer helpless against the power of sin and death (I Cor 15:55), because Christ had overcome it. Not only that Christ had overcome sin and death but that He had overcome that which leads us into these futile ultimate consequences--the World, the environment in which we are in, and all its desires and troubles, it is in a state of decay until God redeems it (I John 2:17). In the LORD we find solace, He promised us that in Him we may have true peace in our hearts and minds. He said, "in this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:33)!" Praise and thanksgiving be unto Him, today and all the days of our lives, sisters and brothers. Take heart!
