In Every Season of the Soul
Numbers 10:9–10
"When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the LORD your God and rescued from your enemies. Also at your times of rejoicing—your appointed festivals and New Moon feasts—you are to sound the trumpets over your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, and they will be a memorial for you before your God. I am the LORD your God."
In both times of trouble and of rejoicing, as the song says, "in every season of the soul", we call out to God and praise Him with a loud voice like the blast of trumpets in our hearts and minds. We entrust our lives to Him and enjoy it with Him. For as long as we live and breathe until our last we will honour Him because of His power, His mind and His endless love, let us never cease to praise the Lord! "Praise the Lord. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens. Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness. Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and flute, praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord (Psa 150:1–6)."
