His Presence in our Journey
Numbers 10:33–36
"So they set out from the mountain of the Lord and traveled for three days. The ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them during those three days to find them a place to rest. The cloud of the Lord was over them by day when they set out from the camp. Whenever the ark set out, Moses said, “Rise up, Lord! May your enemies be scattered; may your foes flee before You.” Whenever it came to rest, he said, “Return, Lord, to the countless thousands of Israel.”
God promises us with His presence in our journey through life. "The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged (Deut 31:8)." It's good practice to call upon the Lord daily before we go about our business and nightly before we rest. We can trust that indeed surely God is with us always and forever (Matt 28:20) and He is very interested in the daily lives of His children. He knows our goals, dreams, hurts, hopes, frustrations, and desires and He still delights in hearing of our days in prayer. Let us keep close and draw near to Jesus everyday, we'll be all right, because God is with us. His presence is enough because in Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28): "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand (Isa 41:10)"
