God's Natural Revelation

Romans 1:20–21
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been created, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened."

God did not wait long before He revealed Himself to humanity. The universe itself, the world around us, our moral intuitions since the dawn of time, long before Christ incarnate, God has clearly reached out to us undeniably. Deep within each human soul is an inkling that a Maximally Great Creator exists and is Lord over all. 19th century rationalist philosopher Immanuel Kant expressed it beautifully: Two things forever keep me in awe, the starry hosts above and the moral law within. Though our hearts were at first darkened by sin, our sense of God's presence impaired, veiled when we were perishing (II Cor 4:3), the eternally existent Christ and His Spirit meets us in our incapability to perceive the Father in our hearts and minds so we experience Him. Let us pray for our friends and family that they may encounter God in an undeniable way. We were blind, but now we see.
