Christ Alone
Romans 1:1–2
"Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God—the gospel He promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures"
Some critics (atheists and Muslims) argue that St. Paul reconstructed Christianity but it wasn't what Christ intended. This is simply false. The letters of the erudite apostle are among the earliest manuscripts in the New Testament. Some theologians even consider his writings, the "Fifth Gospel" because one can somehow join pieces of information about the Lord Jesus' life as Paul mentions them as the basis for ecclesiastical directives. The teachings, the miracles, the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the bedrock on which the apostle Paul's teachings are founded. St. Peter regarded St. Paul very highly, and in His own letter he tells us God gave Paul wisdom and his learned writings tend to be distorted by "ignorant, unstable people to their own peril" (2 Pet 3:15–16). Let Christ alone be the cornerstone of our thought, expression, and the blessings of exhortation and encouragement into the lives of others.
