Internal Struggles

Judges 20:23
"Then the children of Israel went up and wept before the LORD until evening, and asked counsel of the LORD, saying, "Shall I again draw near for battle against the children of my brother Benjamin?"
And the LORD said, "Go up against him."

1 Corinthians 6:1-8
"If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people? Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do you ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church? I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers? But instead, one brother takes another to court—and this in front of unbelievers! The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters. Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived..."

Dear Father, let us live according to the Character of Your Son Jesus. Lord help us to love and honour our community of believers — the body of Christ. Holy Spirit help us in relating with each other. Help us resolve all the issues within each individual heart in order for us to live effectively as a community. Father we pray that there will be no infighting among us but may true love, genuine care and empathy always pervade among Your children. Empower us to serve. Help us in our daily lives, that we be efficient and productive persons of value to the world we are trying to reach. Bless us everyday to live every minute according to Your purpose for Your Glory. In Jesus Name. Amen.
