Nailed

Most thought it was just plain funny, but to me, it was seriously pretty spot on:

When Rembrandt painted himself (as he usually does) in his “The Raising of the Cross” (1633), the artist was there with the crowd, raising the crucified Christ, it was him almost saying he did that to Him. It wasn’t just the Jews and the Romans who nailed Jesus of Nazareth to that cross, we all did, in our sinfulness. The Bible tells us that it was an act of love (John 3:16) and the LORD maintains that no one took His life from Him. He sacrificed it voluntarily. For in Him was the authority to lay it down when He wants to and also to take it up again. For this is what the Father had commanded (John 10:18).
