Best in Christ's Shade
Ezekiel 31:17
"Those who lived in its shade, its allies among the nations, had also gone down to the grave with it, joining those killed by the sword."
We should be very careful in whom or in what we put our trust or faith, lest we fall with it. When we mostly look to fallible humanity to depend on (including our own selves, our leaders), it may lead us to frustration and empty. Ultimately, only God is sufficient to supply all our needs, and satisfy all our desires. He is also the only one we can truly rely on because He is faithful. It's okay to look up to others but always turn our gaze to Christ, because He will certainly never fail us, He is the finisher and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
